Abstract

Settings of open and self-responsible learning have become more and more popular in the last years. In addition to activity orientation, autonomy and an orientation to the interests and skills of the pupils, individualization and differentiation are important indicators of this teaching method. Furthermore the teacher’s role as a learning guide allows more time for observing and advising the pupils and for using alternative assessment methods. The following paper de-scribes a design of a seminar, which was hold for teacher students in 2018 at the University of Frankfurt/Main. After a theoretic introduction the students got the opportunity of developing a concept how teachers can deal with a heterogeneous group of students in open learning settings.
