Abstract

In the Actionbound unit, student teachers acquire biological content knowledge by embarking on a digital scavenger hunt through the Teutoburg Forest. For this purpose, the Actionbound "Dem Wald auf der Spur" was developed, which is publicly playable. The article focuses on the technical as well as methodical-didactic conception of the Actionbound. It is based on problem-oriented learning in authentic contexts through the use of digital media. The evaluation shows that it is precisely this combination that has a particularly motivating and learning-promoting effect on the students. Possible areas of application in other departments are touched on.
